How much of a refund might I qualify for?

There are many factors that can determine how much of a refund you might qualify for. Included in them is:

  • How are/were your daily tasks of life impacted?
  • How many years did these impairments impact your life?
  • Amount of unclaimed refunds and credits available to retrieve (based on amount of previous taxes collected by the Canada Revenue Agency).
How does this work?

Step 1:

You contact TaxWise by completing the online form on this website, or by phoning us at 1 866 448 2188

Step 2:

You receive an information kit in the mail from TaxWise. Take a few minutes to complete the forms that are in the kit, then mail it back to us in the pre-addressed, pre-paid envelope.
(Note: You do not have to go and see your doctor about these documents. We work directly with your doctors and/or specialist throughout this process).

Step 3:

TaxWise Refund specialists and accountants work with your doctor(s) and with Canada Revenue Agency to expedite your refund application.

How much is this going to cost?

TaxWise is committed to making sure that as many people have access to their services as possible. Therefore TaxWise only charges an industry standard percentage based contingency fee only upon reaching a successful outcome.

That being said, if TaxWise goes through an assessment process and finds no unclaimed refunds, credits or benefits - then the assessment will be 100% Free.

What will I need when I contact (or am contacted by) a TaxWise representative?

Your first conversation with a TaxWise representative is just that: a simple informal conversation. All you’re going to need is a rough idea of the condition (how long you’ve managed it, how it has impacted you), and about 5 minutes of your time.

How long does the process take?

The process can take as quick as a month, but usually between 2-4 months, depending upon many factors.

Who qualifies?

Qualifying has less to do with the diagnoses and more to do with how the condition noticeably restricts the ability to perform basic activities of daily living. TaxWise has helped more than 25,000 Canadians with varying conditions that have impaired years of their lives.

“I am a mother now to a teenage son who has a behavioral disability [ADD].
… We made an appointment with Christine. Working with them (TaxWise) had paid off. We received a substantial refund after several months. We are grateful and didn’t regret that we turned to TaxWise for professional help. The refund helped our family pay off additional private courses/programs for my son.
Thanks a lot TaxWise and more power to your firm! I would surely recommend every family with disabilities to seek your professional services.

Mrs. Maria Griselda”
